A little flashback today to last Spring with Lucy and Matt’s Iscoyd Park wedding. I have so many happy memories from this day, and this is all down to Lucy and Matt being just the nicest of couples. I’m sure when everyone meet’s Lucy they immediately want to have her in your gang, the same applies to Matt aswell as he is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful of men, a great match for each other that’s very clear to see as soon as you see them together.
I started the day with Lucy in a suite full of hair and make-up prep, excitable bridesmaids, a beaming Mother of the Bride, topped with some champagne and a bit of Taylor Swift. Matt and the groomsmen were staying in the stable cottages at Iscoyd Park so I popped over to see them too, where finishing touches to speeches were in full swing.
There’s always a moment on every wedding morning when it all starts to feel very real, this moment came when the wedding car pulled up. There were tears all round as Lucy slipped into her custom-made dress; it had been kept a secret from the bridesmaids so their reaction was quite something. The ceremony took place in St Mary Church; the cutest of little white churches set in the countryside. Both Lucy and Matt beamed throughout the ceremony, and continued to do so pretty much for the rest of the day. Everyone made their way back to Iscoyd Park where the celebrations began out in the gardens, the grounds are perfect for a wander so Lucy, Matt, and I did just that in the Spring sunshine. The Rush kicked of the evening’s entertainment, after Lucy and Matt’s first dance everyone was soon on the dance floor throwing the finest of shapes and having a good sing along. As I packed up for the night and headed back to my car I could hear them all singing in the distance, I’m sure the party continued well into the night!
I had the greatest of days spending time with Lucy, Matt and their families and friends; what an awesome bunch of people. I can’t wait to see a few of them again in a couple of month’s time for another wedding too, I already know it’s going to be a special one. Thank you so much for having me along, and thanks also the staff at Iscoyd Park who made sure I was well looked after throughout the day too.
Here’s a little look at how the day went:
