Intimate Town Hall Wedding
Emma and Dave’s intimate town hall wedding was the start of an amazing few days. Their decided to have their wedding in two parts. The first was a small civil ceremony at Manchester Town Hall ahead of their woodland wedding, which took place a couple of days later over in Delamere Forest. More about that coming soon.
Here in England it isn’t possible to have a legal ceremony outside (the most ridiculous of laws in my opinion), so Emma and Dave held their legal ceremony with just a handful of their families and friends in attendance. In the run up to the wedding there had been a lot of focus on the woodland wedding. Paper crafting, making cider, to name just a couple of things. The legal ceremony gave Emma, Dave, and their guests, a time to take a step away from all that, and focus on what all the running around was for. Two amazing people declaring their love for each other, with their nearest and dearest close by. That’s what it’s all about. It was such a touching, heartfelt ceremony.
Castlefield Wedding Portraits
Following the ceremony, Emma, Dave, and I took off in the wedding car and went over to Castlefield for a few portraits, whilst everyone else made their way to Great John Street Hotel for the reception party. Stepping out of the car at Castlefield was like stepping into a wind tunnel or a Beyonce video, Emma’s dress looked perfect blowing in the wind. A little walk back to the hotel with plenty of congratulations on route (I love Manchester for this), finished my time with them perfectly. Next stop, Delamere Forest.
