Ok, Ok, I know you’re probably all sick to death of my highlights blog posts by now, but there’s just one more and that’s my 2018 film photography highlights. It features some of my most favourite faces and places, so if you’ve clicked on this to have a little look, THANK YOU.
As with last year, I’ve continued with the rule of only using film for my personal work. It just slows the whole process down a little. I also love that surprise of getting the scans back, especially when you have no clue how it may (or may not) have turned out. This year it’s got a little bit more experimental as I’ve discovered the joys of Yodica, Lomochrome purple and a whole load of different Polaroid films that have cost me a small fortune.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Lisbon, Mallorca, New York and Iceland in the past 12 months, and have had some amazing experiences with truly brilliant people. I’ve also been hanging around in Blackpool again, I don’t think the obsession with the light along that seafront will ever end. This year sees travels to LA, Mallorca, Singapore, Italy, and hopefully Japan on the horizon. I’ve got a fridge stocked with wild and wonderful films to play with and I can’t wait.
Thanks for taking the time to look, you’re the best.
