Ribby Hall Wedding Photography // Kirsty and Dez

Kirsty and Dez held their wedding at Ribby Hall back in May on the sunniest of days, a miracle in itself after a week of rain beforehand.  This meant they were lucky enough to have their ceremony outside just as they had hoped for. I love it when that happens, and after a few weeks of weather watching it was great to see them have the outdoor Summer ceremony they dreamed of.

Everyone beamed as the flowergirls, bridesmaids and Kirsty and her Dad made their way into the gardens, Dez had the biggest of smiles on his face and it stayed there during the ceremony as they said their vows. Following the ceremony and a procession of enormous hugs from everyone, the three of us went for a little explore around the grounds of Ribby Hall for some portraits, the bluebells* were out in full bloom and made a prefect backdrop.

We headed back in the afternoon sun to the reception drinks in the gardens. Kirsty and Dez are such incredible fun to be around, I imagine there is never a dull moment with this pair around. Kirsty is my first bride to ever participate in a bridal pyramid, hopefully she won’t be my last. Everyone had so much fun and got up to all kinds of shenanigans too;  as you’ll see for yourselves.

Here are some of my favourites from the day.

  • No bluebells were harmed in the making of these portraits, we were extra careful not to step on any I promise you.
