Wedding at The Asylum
To say I was excited about photographing Celia and Glenn’s wedding at the Asylum would be a bit of an understatement. It’s been on my ‘dream wedding locations to photograph’ for quite some time (along with New York, anyone??), so I was very happy when Celia and Glenn first contacted me. I was even happier when I met them and they turned out to be the loveliest of couples, along with their rather awesome daughter, Margot.
Spring London Wedding
Celia and Glenn married late in the afternoon in March, on probably one of the sunniest days of the year so far, Spring definitely sprung into life that day. Not ones for tradition, they chose to see each other before the ceremony. It’s always so special to watch a couple see each other for the first time, such an intimate moment to witness, you could hear a pin drop. Margot got in on the act straight away too, which was very cute. In fact, she played a pretty big part in the ceremony too. It was definitely a family affair, she even tried to grab the wedding ring at one point causing a bit of a fluster.
London Pub Wedding Reception
The Travelling Gin Company helped kicked things off straight after the ceremony, with some cocktail goodness, before everyone made their way via bus to The Easton in Clerkenwell for more celebrations. Celia, along with family and friends had worked hard to decorate the pub with garlands, candles, and beautiful blooms from the flower market they had picked out the day before, the rich colours looked perfect in the cozy pub light.
Such a beautiful day surrounded by awesome people, thank you so much Celia and Glenn for welcoming me into your world!
