New House Farm Wedding
Oh dear, I’ve been slacking massively on my wedding blogging of late, so I’m gonna try to play catch up a bit starting with Jasmyn and Huw’s New House Farm wedding up in the Lake District. I think this may have also been the week that Summer arrived, I just didn’t expect it to last quite so long… I’m not complaining though, the Beast from The East emotionally scarred me.
Lake District Wedding Venue
Anyway, back to Jasmyn and Huw! They are lucky enough to have a family home up in the Lake district and love spending time there, so it made sense that this would be the perfect place to marry. New House Farm in Cockermouth made a stunning backdrop for their relaxed wedding day. The farm is tucked away down a quiet road, with beautiful grounds surrounded by rolling hills. The sun shone the entire day, so everyone had a great time celebrating in the sunshine. I spent the morning with Jasmyn and her bridesmaids, where spirits were high and the playlist was exceptional. Jasmyn’s Anna Campbell dress was the perfect match for her; a mixture of epic sparkle in a bohemian style. The kind of dress post wedding ceremony you can kick your shoes off in, and spend the rest of the day barefoot and happy. Which is exactly what happened.
Huw and his groomsmen were waiting in the doorway when I headed over to the barn for the ceremony. It can be a very daunting feeling stood at the front of the ceremony room, in full view of your guests waiting for the person you are about to marry, particularly if your nerves are getting the better of you. So why put yourself through it? Huw had the right idea by keeping that wait at the front to a minimum, I liked his style. Nerves quickly disappeared once Jasmyn arrived though. They both smiled and held hands whilst exchanging those important words, before heading outside to confetti, cocktails, and an afternoon of fun with their families and friends.
I had such a great time photographing this one. Huge thanks to Jasmyn and Huw for having me along!
