Oast House Wedding
Today seems like a very good day to share Sophie and Becky’s epic Oast House wedding. It’s absolutely chucking it down with rain (and has been for far too long) here in Sheffield, and I need cheering up. This wedding holds a lot of special memories for me. From the constant rain and nobody giving a toss about it, the closest group of friends I think I’ve witnessed, the magistrates court complaining about the noise at 2.30pm in the afternoon, incredible bridal style, the list is endless.
Sophie and Becky chose Manchester Hall for their wedding ceremony, followed by a reception just around the corner at Oast House. Having met Sophie and Becky a couple of times before the wedding day, I had a feeling this would be a special day. Not only are they madly in love with each other, they have so much love for everyone they are close to. It was an absolute joy to see everyone’s excitement and happiness as they watched this brilliant pair marry.
Manchester Hall Wedding Ceremony
I spent the morning with Sophie over at King Street Townhouse, whilst my buddy Lucy photographed Becky’s preparations over at The Principal. The ceremony took place at Manchester Hall and was full of all the good stuff; happy tears, laughter, and so much love. We took shelter from the rain to do a couple of portraits before heading over to Oast House. I think it’s fair to say the party had kicked off even before the ceremony, so it was in full swing when we arrived at the reception. The minute everyone walked into the tipi for the wedding breakfast there was singing dancing and plenty of hugs and kisses. I remember sitting back and watching everyone for awhile just to take it all in, I went home smiling that night as I was so happy to have been a part of such a memorable day.
Much love to Sophie, Becky and their utterly brilliant families and friends. You have something really special.
