Sheffield Wedding Photographer // 2019
2019 passed by in a bit of a whirlwind for me, it’s been a busy but brilliant one. This was year eight photographing weddings full time, and each year has continued to bring amazing people into my life. Even if it’s just for a brief amount of time, it can still have a lasting effect on how I see things. This year changed quite a bit for me as it was my first year living over the other side of the Peaks in Sheffield. I’ve got to know Snake Pass very well over the Summer months and have witnessed some pretty epic sunsets out there on my way home from weddings, I’m so lucky to have all that so close by to me. Enough about A-roads, let’s get to the wedding stuff. My weddings this year have ranged from small weddings of just eight people, to full-on surprise wedding parties. I’ve had the honour of travelling to both Italy and Singapore this year too. Thankfully I have photographs to prove that it wasn’t a dream, it actually happened. It was incredible to travel to both places, but the welcome I received was just as special to me.
I’m constantly grateful that I get to do this as a job. Creating memories is so important to me. It was brought home recently after receiving a message from one of my 2019 brides, to tell me her wonderful Grandad had sadly passed away. He was a absolute joy on her wedding day, and she said how grateful they are to have so many photos of him looking so happy. That’s what it’s all about to me and messages like that fuel me to work harder at what I love to do.
The biggest thank you to all my 2019 couples, I’ve had a lot of fun with you all this year. Thanks also to your families and friends too. I’ve had a lot of great conversations and witnessed some hilarious moments with you. Thanks also to my loved ones for your continued support, without your support I couldn’t do this. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this years brings, and I can’t wait to started. I have a handful of dates still available too, so please get in touch if you like what you see!
