A surprise wedding you say? I’m in. When Nikki and Dave first contacted me about their wedding plans I had a little freak out. Firstly, they got in touch a year before their surprise wedding was going to take place. How do you keep something like that a secret for a whole year?! I would have to avoid everyone the whole time. Somehow they managed to do it although a few people later admitted they had their suspicions. This was a wedding day of two parts and two surprises. The day began with me awkwardly standing outside Leeds Town Hall, some of their closest friends stood close by, unaware about what was actually happening. There were lots of happy tears when Nikki and Dave arrived, followed by a dash to the supermarket to make some confetti from bunches of flowers. From the minute Nikki and Dave arrived it was clear to see how loved they were by everyone. In the short space of time I spent with them, I fell in love with them a little bit too. They welcomed me to their wedding celebrations like a friend.
The morning ceremony was kept small, with just immediate family and friends invited to the legal ceremony. A celebration brunch at Browns followed before a team of helpers headed to Lambert’s Yard to do a little preparation for surprise wedding number two. More of that to follow. For now; take a little look at the joy and happiness in everyone’s faces below. This was a wedding day that filled my heart to the brim.
