Sheffield Portrait Shoot
It seems like a lifetime ago since Richmal and Chris travelled across the Peaks for their Sheffield portrait shoot with me. A LOT has happened since then. Their shoot took place around Kelham Island, the Saturday before Lockdown happened. Kelham Island is an urban area of Sheffield about 10 minutes from my home. As a lover of an urban background, this is a bit of a dream location for me. They had booked a shoot with me to celebrate their wedding anniversary, such a lovely idea. We had a great explore, stopping at a whole range of doorways, grubby looking back streets, and all the other good stuff.
Little did I know this would be my last shoot for a really long time. At the moment my diary is free until July, but who know exactly how things will turn out over the next few weeks. The main thing is that everyone remains healthy. I would much rather we take our time with the steps towards ‘normal’ life again, otherwise this lockdown will have been a complete waste of time.
I’ve been dreaming about what it’s going to be like to go back to shooting weddings and portraits. I honestly think they will feel even more special after this. I for one am going to hug just that little bit harder. I can’t wait to photograph other people doing the same.
If you or your loved ones fancy a little portrait shoot once we’re all allowed to see each other again, please get in touch. I would absolutely love to document you back together again. They will make for special images I’m sure.
