Peak District Portrait Photography
It’s been a while, but I can finally say Summer portrait shoots are go! At last. The past few months have been a rollercoaster, particularly when it comes to work life. My business involves people, lots of people sometimes. So when that’s taken away and you’re left with an unclear picture about when things will return to some kind of normal, it can be a bit of struggle. But this isn’t a blog post to dwell on the negative, hell no. This is a blog post to celebrate how damn happy I am to have picked my camera back up, taken it outside, and taken portraits of other people! I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am about this.
My first shoot back was with Rebecca Wilson, founder of Womb Connection, Healing & Awakening. She works with, and supports women through all stages of their life. This includes fertility, womb health, creativity and feminine energy. I’ve worked with Rebecca previously, and each shoot always brings a different energy with it. For me, this shoot brought gratitude and joy.
Summer Portrait Shoot
Exploring the forest and streams in the sunshine with Rebecca was the back to work I’d been dreaming of. We have been truly blessed with good weather during lockdown haven’t we? It’s been a saving grace for me. Sitting in the garden, listening to the birds, taking notice of pockets of light and how they move; little bits of everyday magic have brought a lot of peace. Barefoot in the forest documenting Rebecca as she moves effortlessly, this shoot brought plenty of magic my way.
Book Your Portrait Shoot
It feels so good to be back doing what I love, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring. My Summer is almost wedding-free, which feels very surreal. I love doing portrait shoots though, so hopefully things won’t stay quiet for too long. Are you looking to book a Summer portrait shoot? I am ready and raring to go. Whether it’s something to promote your business or to document a time in your life, please get in touch. I’d love to help.
