Golden Hour Portrait Shoot
Zoe’s golden hour portrait shoot was born from a meeting on Instagram . I have a bit of a love hate relationship with social media sometimes, and can often find it exhausting. When you run your own business there can be a bit of pressure to put yourself out there, and quite honestly it can be hard sometimes. During lockdown it’s been particularly tough without any new work to share. Taking a break from social media is a must every now and again I think, I highly recommend everyone does it. On the plus side of that, you can make some incredible connections, get a huge amount of inspiration, and meet so many like minded people. I’ve made some great virtual friends, and those friendships might not have happened otherwise. Zoe captured my imagination not only for her images, but for her words too. We swapped a few messages and discussed ideas for some potential shoots together. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and there we are on a beautiful Summer evening taking portraits together.
Kelham Island Fashion Shoot
It was one of those shoots that felt inspiring from the very beginning. Zoe was such a dream to photograph, and brought something really special to the shoot. Everywhere was bathed in beautiful golden hour light and big shadows, you know how much that excites me.
Hopefully this will be the first of many shoots together, we have lots of ideas brewing already. I’m absolutely loving portrait shoots right now, it feels so good be out there with my camera again. Weddings are off for the time being, but portraits are alive and well! Please get in touch if you have any creative ideas spinning around in your head, I would love to help.
