Colourful Branding Portraits
It’s Friday, so it’s seems like an appropriate day to feast your eyes on some colourful branding portraits, with half sequin rainbow goddess/half techno My Little Pony, Amy. Amy is a wedding photographer, equality advocate, explorer and sequin lover. I’ve known Amy for a few years now and was so excited when she asked to have some new portraits taken with me. I knew instantly it would be a shoot filled with colour, because if you know Amy, you know this is basically her life. She doesn’t hold back when it comes to expressing herself, and a trail of sequins are left behind wherever she goes (I have proof of this).
Photographing another photographer always makes me feel a little bit nervous, but as photographers we can also get a little nervous in front of the camera too. I think this speaks for so many people. It’s often feels so unnatural to have someone taken your portrait to begin with. That’s why I always chat about ideas beforehand, and give lots of information about the way I work on the shoot day itself.
Personal Branding Photography
Amy wanted her portraits to include some of the things she loves; colour, nature, and urban landscapes. We worked in three different locations; my studio, the Botanic Gardens and Kelham Island. Amy stopped traffic and made a lot of people smile on a grey day in Sheffield. I think I had a big ridiculous smile on my face for the entire shoot.
Feedback from Amy; ” Mate they are AMAZING! Thank you sooooo much, so much fun and I love the colours. I feel you have captured everything that I’m about; nature, city, colour , tory-hating, just perfect”
I’m available for all the colourful branding portrait shoots through the Winter, so bring them at me! Please get in touch if a personalised branding shoot is something you have been thinking about. I have a couple of different options available, and would be happy to tailor to anything you need. The importance of showing your true self in your branding portraits is crucial to attracting like minded clients, and bringing your own authenticity to your business.
