Winter Portraits In The Woods
A Winter portrait session in the woods with medicine woman Jasmin, and a celebration of womanhood and self-love. I am lucky enough to have worked with Jasmin previously to this shoot, it’s always such an honour when people continue to work with me. Whether I have worked with a client previously or not, I always arrange a chat before a portrait session. It’s important to know what someone wants to get from their images, and from their experience with me.
Jasmin was very clear about her vision; a celebration of where she is at in her business and life right now, at a location that was special to her, and with minimal clothing (life is better when naked!). So on a bright but VERY cold January morning, we headed out into the beautiful Derbyshire woodlands to create some portraits together.

Jasmin’s Experience
Here are some words from Jasmin about her experience: “Emma has a real gift for putting people at ease, in such a playful and calm way, I felt really supported throughout the session. It has helped that we have built a relationship over time, as the process of getting my photograph taken has never been an easy one. Emma creates such a caring and fun space, I feel everyone should experience this. It helps to build confidence, and to see yourself in your own magic. Thank you so much”
This made me SO happy, it really means a lot to me to hear this.

It was a beautiful experience photographing Jasmin in the Winter light that morning,
It can be such a positive experience stepping in front of a camera, even if your mindset is telling you otherwise. Maybe you’re reading this right now thinking to yourself ” I wonder if this is something I would enjoy?”… I’m hoping the answer by the end of our portrait session together would be a massive yes. If you have any questions, or want to hear some more about how I work, please get in touch HERE , I’d love to chat with you.
