Portraits In The Spring
Spring is springing, at last! It’s my favourite time of the year by a country mile. Winter goes on a little too long for me, so I’m always relieved when the first signs of Spring start to happen, and the nights don’t feel quite so long… I sound like my Nan here, don’t I? She was right though, so it’s ok. Watching nature spring to life again films me with optimism for the year ahead. It brings a new level of inspiration with it, and wakes up that part of brain that likes to dream about the possibilities the year ahead may bring with it. It’s also the perfect time of year for some fresh new portraits, especially if you want some incredible florals as a backdrop.

So if this is something you have been thinking about, but have also been patiently waiting for Winter to end, now is your time! The flowers and blossom are slowly but surely starting to appear, so there’s time for us to plan around this. A few Polaroids from my walk on Sunday for your inspiration, that Magnolia tree in Sheffield Botanical Gardens is pretty spectacular.
