Wedding nonconformity from the joy that is Meg and Dom. This was a real lesson in how to celebrate love in your own way. Meg and Dom are surrounded by a really tight community of family and friends, and wanted their wedding day to shine a light on that aspect of their lives, along with their obvious love for one another, but in a sustainable and light hearted way.
Meg and Dom choose Edale Gathering, an exclusive glamping space in Hope Valley, to host their wedding weekend. They had free reign to do as they please, and it didn’t disappoint. When we first initially met, they had both told me what they hoped for in their wedding photographs. This couple wanted creativity, feeling, and a record of all their loved ones, and the gathering of their tight knit community of friends. I took those words and ran with it!

Here’s a list of things from Meg and Dom’s wedding which stood out to :
- Sharing lunch with everyone before the ceremony
- Lunch make up a dishes everyone had brought/made… it was INCREDIBLE.
- A personal ceremony lead by Doms Mum, with speeches from siblings and best friends
- Homegrown flowers everywhere, including the bouquet and confetti
- Dom and his mates DJing
- An evening curry for everyone from their favourite takeaway
- A ceilidh throughout the day, which got progressively wilder
- A bridal dress from Vinted
Of course are many more, but this is just a few examples of nonconformity and how it can work on your wedding day. I guess the message that shone through for me; think about what’s important to you both, and bring that with you on your wedding day. I’ll guarantee it will work, and it will be magic.

I loved the freedom Meg and Dom gave me. If you are in the early stages of wedding planning yourselves, and would like to chat further about how I can document things in the way you want, I’d love to chat further with you. Please get in touch HERE .
