Charity Portrait Weekend
As you’ll probably be aware, I recently organised a charity portrait weekend to raise some money for the wonderful charity Invisible Manchester (you can read more about it here). What originally started out as a one day event quickly escalated into two days, thanks to an amazing response from everyone. Over the two days I photographed 21 photo shoots on the streets of the Northern Quarter in Manchester, and it was an unbelieveable experience.
I’ll be totally honest with you, I was kinda worried the whole thing would be a disaster. I worried nobody would turn up, I worried it would rain the entire weekend, I worried (a LOT) that I had completely messed up the timings and different groups would turn up at the same time… the list goes on! But all that worrying quickly turned into complete joy when everything turned out a million times better than I could ever have imagined.
Invisible Manchester
Most importantly, we raised a whopping £1610.00!! This makes me incredibly happy, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the brilliant people who took part. Thank you all SO much for bringing your enthusiasm, personalities, and support to the streets of Manchester. You are all stars, and you have made such a difference with your generosity.
